Pediatrics

Many parents are suprised to find that acupuncture for kids does not have to involve needles. There are many tools to help children holistically, including acupressure, pediatric tuina (a form of massage), gentle silicone cupping, moxabustion, and herbal medicine or nutrional advice among many others. I also employ ‘shonishin’ methods, which are traditional Japanese techniques used for the painless and needle-free treatment of children. There is strong research showing the effectiveness of acupuncture for children in several health conditions including pain, headaches/migraines, digestive issues, bed wetting, colic, and neurological/tic disorders.

As acupuncturists we can also help kids with anxiety, ADD/ADHD, allergies, asthma, colds, ear infections, sleep issues, menstrual pain, sports injuries, and more. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding care.
